*Important change to accessing the library out of hours*
  • Coming soon: TRFT colleagues will be able to access the hospital library (D Level) out of hours by swiping their badge.
  • If you already have a chip in your badge and use it to access other areas within the hospital, access rights will be automatically added.
  • If you are unsure whether your badge has a chip please check with the ID badge team in Estates and Facilities.
  • Library fobs will no longer work from 23rd January, so please return them to the library as they can be recycled in other areas of the Trust.
  • If you aren’t employed by TRFT you can still have out-of-hours access to the library if you belong to one our eligible staff groups.  Please get in touch with us (01709 427139, library.healthcare@rothgen.nhs.uk or call in to the library on Rotherham Hospital D Level) and we'll let you know how to get your access badge.

Your badge will give you access to the main library at all times. In addition to borrowing and returning books you can also use the library PCs, printers, copiers and study spaces. Please read our full conditions of use.

The self-service machine is also available during our normal opening hours: please ask library staff during the day if you'd like to sign up for self-issue.

Please contact us if you have any queries about the service or if we can help in any way.
