Journals

NHS staff and students can access 7000 national ejournals plus our local print and ejournals all in one place. Use the links below to browse and search journals. You'll need an NHS OpenAthens password to access the full-text of articles. Journals available in print-only can be accessed from the Hospital Library on D Level: view a list of our local journals.

If the journal you need isn't listed we can get articles for you via our Interlibrary Loan Service.  And why not sign up for alerts: tell us which journals you're interested in and we'll email you a list of contents each time a new issue is published. Fed up with paywalls and logins? Read our guide to setting up one-click access to full-text articles.

Access over 7000 ejournals via BrowZine:

Find and keep track of journals from the huge number of journals that Open Athens gives you access to.  Save them on your personal bookshelf, providing easy access and see when new issues are available.
Easily get to full text of the articles where available.  Sometimes you’ll only have access to the abstract of recent issues – this depends what the NHS has paid for.
If there’s an article you really want to read that is not available, Request it via our interlibrary loan service.
