Literature and Evidence Search Services

Need to find quality evidence but feeling overloaded, pressed for time or not sure where to start? We can help by providing an evidence search. Our evidence search service is available for all staff to support a range of purposes including patient care, research, audits, quality improvement projects, policies, service change, CPD and teaching. Please fill in the evidence search request form using the embedded form QR code below.
  • Please provide as much information as possible to help us meet your specific needs.
  • The results will be sent by email in a structured report. 
  • We will only select the most relevant information, so you won’t be inundated unless specifically requested.
  • We aim to complete all evidence searches within ten working days of receiving your request. If you need your results sooner, just let us know and we will aim to prioritise this.

Further Support - Training and Mediated Searching for your Course

If you need evidence and articles because you are studying for a course it can be useful to attend a mediated training session with us so we can discuss your search requirements together and show you the tools and techniques you need to to give you the skills to carry out literature searching for yourself.   We can provide one to one personalised sessions based around your search topic either in person or on Teams.
You may need an Athens account to access some articles that we find.  Scan the QR code to sign up - membership is free for all NHS staff.
