We deliver! More about our book trolley service and our volunteers

Our team of volunteers run a book trolley service to wards three mornings a week, taking individual requests for books if required. (Due to Covid restrictions this service will restart in 2022). We can also supply collections of books for patient waiting areas/wards. Contact us to find out more about how we can help.
Our volunteers have transformed the Library service for patients beyond belief thanks to their dedication, enthusiasm and hard work. The volunteers don't just deliver books: they take the time to chat to older patients, brighten the days of younger patients bored stuck in hospital, take care of bookshelves in waiting areas and raise funds for the Hospital Charity through book sales. The volunteers are all so enthusiastic in their desire to make a difference to the people who really matter: our patients.
