Journal Clubs for NMC Revalidation
Do you wish to learn skills on how to assess the quality of published articles?

Do you need some CPD hours to help you with your nursing or midwifery revalidation?
The Library and Knowledge Service is running a series journal clubs aimed specifically at nurses and midwives.
Each week we will look at a published article and consider it in terms of quality, results and local applicability. So you will learn about research and also develop skills on how to assess research.
The subjects of the articles to be covered in sessions are:
Communication in nursing 4pm Friday 1st September
Falls prevention 3pm Wednesday 6th September
Pressure Ulcers 2pm Monday 11th September
Meal Times 4pm Thursday 21st September
Breaking Bad News 2pm Tuesday 26th September
There is no need to book on the above courses, you can just turn up on the day.
We are keen to run more sessions for individual departments where we can look at specific papers. Please contact us if you are interested.

Evidence for Practice Sessions for NMC Revalidation
Are you a nurse or midwife who is revalidating?
Do you wish to log some CPD or complete a reflective practice account?
Then the Library and Knowledge Service can provide you with a session based around your suggestion of a clinical topic.
We will use sources that will both update your information finding skills and provide you with evidence to feed back to your department.
A reflective account for NMC revalidation can be completed at the end of the session and CPD certificate will be issued.
Sessions will typically last about two hours. Please contact us if you are interested.
